Context and motivation

School 114 "Principesa Margareta" is situated in the semi-central area of Bucharest, Romania. The school population varies from very rich to very poor pupils coming from either wealthy families or from socio and economic disadvantaged ones. The school has to find solutions to create a balance between them, to give them equal chances to education. The school has developed different projects along the years in order to develop the pupils' abilities, to increase their self confidence. Our school has developed European projects and wants to use the gained experience. The work in this project will help pupils and teachers improve their understanding of European cooperation. They will become aware of ecological problems. The project will develop an active European citizenship based on intercultural dialogue and on understanding, respect and tolerance for other cultures.
