Context and motivation

Concerning the context of our school, there are two main reasons we want to take part in the proposed Partnership:

• Disadvantaged location of our school: it is located in a village, in a rural and agricultural area. So it can be considered a disadvantaged area to contact with other languages and cultures.
• Ecological responsibility: our school takes part on the “Green Schools” program of the Catalan Government. This is an action of the international Local Agenda 21 program, thatprovides a framework for implementing sustainable development at the local level. By means of this program our school is planning and developing a working plan related to environment and which is integrated in the curricula of the school.

Concerning this point, many ideas, materials and strategies could be shared in a European Partnership.

Many other aims are expected from the European cooperation of the Partnership, such as the development of social, cultural and linguistic skills in a European context, to promote the use of ICT, to increase motivation creating a team atmosphere, etc.
